BIOGRAPHY | MOLFETA

Eleni Molfeta is a Greek director and screenwriter from the island of Kefalonia. She studied film directing at the Hellenic Cinema and Television School L. Stavrakos and trained as an actor at the Athens Drama School G. Theodosiades.

Her graduation short film, Nekydallo (2018), received 13 international awards, establishing her early interest in visually driven, character-focused storytelling. That same year, she produced Madonna f64.0, winner of the Drama Queer Award at the Drama International Short Film Festival. Eleni has twice been selected for Sarajevo Talents (2018, 2022), while her projects have participated in international development platforms including Script Station at the Sarajevo Film Festival, Torino Short Film Market (TSFM) and Go Short Campus in Nijmegen.

Moving between narrative filmmaking, commercials and music videos, her work is rooted in performance, emotion and a strong visual language. In 2025, she received the New Director Award at the Ermis Awards for her first branded documentary, Mikra Nisia, Megala Oneira (Small Islands, Big Dreams), created for Eurobank.

She currently directs commercials in Greece and Cyprus, while developing her next short film, Oysters.
